Kehilath Israel

The lion is the emblem of the tribe of Judah with royal orb to designate kingship, but kingship only came to the tribe when the Ark of the Covenant moved from Shilo to Jerusalem. Above the lion is the Tower of David in Jerusalem. That tower was not built by David, but it is the unofficial emblem of the city of Jerusalem.
